Erika Young is licensed in the state of Georgia having graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She has an MS in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, and she is proudly trauma-certified.
My Mission as a Therapist
My mission is to help people transform their personal and relationship challenges into life-enhancing opportunities for growth. I provide a safe and understanding space for healing and resolving problems so my clients can obtain tranquility and positive, lasting changes in their inner lives and relationships.
My Counseling Style
As a counselor dedicated to creating an environment focused on the client, Erika Young offers an empathetic approach that empowers and motivates the client to tell his or her story.
As a client, you are encouraged to help develop solutions to your problems, and Erika will offer you direction, compassion and accountability.
Erika utilizes traditional therapy approaches (CBT, Solution Focused, etc) and connects the use of esoteric practices to promote total body healing. Esoteric practices include discussions surrounding numerology, past life, astrology, chakra alignment. Healing is promoted through the completion of shadow work that involves deep dives into dissecting inner childhood wounds. The goal is to empower the client to evolve into their best self and elevate to new levels in their lives.
